The body of a missing Northern Cape teenager has been found in the Orange River.

The search for a 19-year-old student who disappeared last week in the Orange River has come to an end.

Earlier today, rescuers discovered Klarissa Joubert's body near where she is believed to have disappeared.

Orania Security Services, SAPS, and official town representatives looked for the kid, according to Orania Movement chief executive Joost Strydom.

He claimed that the cooperation of the Orania community, surrounding farms, and official structures demonstrated the power that can be unleashed when a community works together toward a common objective, even in the midst of a crisis.

"Throughout the search, a massive community of supporters sprung up, providing everything from food and fuel to prayers and support.

“The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Orania community, the volunteers, their Ermelo friends, the SAPS, and everyone who assisted them. The family has issued a strong request that the media and everyone respect their privacy.

“We find strength in our community and in our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ during this tough moment "Strydom remarked.

Joubert was a psychology student at the University of Potchefstroom. On the day she went missing, she went swimming with friends in the Orange River.

May her soul rest in Eternal Peace.

Will these horrendous acts come to end? May the Lord keep our children safe.
