A 40 years old lady identified as Salome Jerome and her husband Igina Jerome has been arrested for allegedly trafficking kidnapped baby from Delta to Kano.
Commander-General of the board Dr Harun Ibnsina confirmed in the statement, the couple will be arrested and be held to counter for their crime. The couple used a vehicle that was suspected to be foul, then the board went to ask to their surprise the were the criminals.
It is alleged that when Hisbah officials went to the car, the lady pretended to be breastfeeding the baby. Her conscience hit her hard and then confessed that she was faulty, she is not the mother and she has bought the baby for N900, 000.
"We further discovered that the alleged husband contributed N150, 000 while she contributed N350, 000 and raised funds to N900, 000 to buy the baby. We have handed over the matter to the police for further investigations."
