"I was paid R70,000 to assassinate her."

Following his admission to the homicide of Tshegofatso Pule, a man who is currently serving a 20-year sentence has revealed that he was given a staggering R70,000 to carry out the homicide.

The man claims that Tshegofatso's sweetheart, who was also the father of her unborn child, contacted him because they were friends in high school and used to party together.

He claims that as he was brought closer by Tshegofatso's sweetheart, he was initially paid R7 000 to carry out the killing, but that after a few exchanges, the sum was raised to R20 000, and then they finally settled on R70 000.

The individual further believes that the killing should be carried out in the manner of a self-destruction. He was instructed to hang Tshegofatso's body in order for it to appear self-destruction.

Nonetheless, this arrangement did not work out, resulting in Tshegofatso being shot and later imprisoned in a tree.

The delicate man is still expected to provide more nuanced information.
