South African Women who got killed by their boyfriends, and reasons why they did it

Femicide is one of the biggest issue worldwide. Femicide is the act of murdering a female (woman or girl) in particular by a man. The number of women getting killed by their partners increases each and every second.

According to crime SA, 57 people get murdered in each day, and majority of those people are women and children.

In this article we will be checking out those women/girls who got murdered by their boyfriends/ husbands. Here are the five of them below:

Nosicelo Mtebeni

Aluta Pasile who was a boyfriend to Nosicelo Mtebeni confessed to the state that he had indeed killed Nosicelo (Fort Hare third year Law student) because she was cheating on him. Pasile murdered her and butchered her body into three pieces which one of them was put in a suitcase and dumped at the street. Aluta was denied a bail but he will also appear in cour on the 28th of September 2021.

Karabo Mokoena

The deceased Karabo was murdered by her ex-boyfriend who goes by the name; Sandile Mantsoe, he stabbed her and attempted concealing the crime by burning her remains. The State has given Sandile 32 years sentence in prison.

Aviwe Jam Jam

Aviwe Jam was 26 years of age when she got murdered by her abusive boyfriend and baby daddy. Aviwe's body was discovered on a field in Athlone on the 29th of July. She was beaten to death.

Reeva Steenkamp

Steenkamp was shot to death by her boyfriend; Oscar Pistorius at his home in Pretoria on the 14th of February 2013. Oscar stated that he thought Steenkamp was an intruder hiding in the bathroom. Oscar is still behind bars serving time in prison.

Zolile Khumalo

Zolile Khumalo was a former MUT student who was shot to death by her boyfriend who goes by the name; Thabani Mzolo. Thabani never showed any remorse in court, as a result he was given a life sentence in prison.
