There are some areas in South Africa which were in need of a very high presence of police officers. This is mainly because of the extremely high rate of crime which is prevalent.
A tweet which was shared by the members of the South African Police Services regarding their operations in the Western Cape Province on the 15th of April 2022 showed a ray of hope in their efforts to bring down the rate of crime.
The tweet stated that Philippi-East was turned blue as the members filled up the streets carrying out their anti-crime operations at Joe Gqabi Square. This was being done through heightened police visibility which ensured that criminals would not get a chance.
This was made possible by a collaboration with Metro Police, Law enforcement and Cape Town Traffic.
Every corner you would turn you would meet a police officer. This is what many have been calling for as criminals are giving them a torrid time.
The motto of the police of creating safer communities through crime prevention was being put in action to the delight of the masses.
