SAPS on the hunt for a woman who stole R3.5 million from her ex husband and fled

A husband does not if he will ever recover the millions his ex wife allegedly stole from him.

His ex wife stole R3.5 million and went on the run. She has been on the run for the past two years and it is still not known if she will ever be found.

Police have now diversified their search in a quest to bring her to book.

Raksha Rajkumar Pooran, 36, allegedly splurged some of her ill-gotten gains on the security guard she had an adulterous relationship with.

She stole the money from her ex husband, Dr Pragandaran Moodley, who is a well known surgeon.

It is reported that Pooran and Moodley married in 2013. They then entered into an antenuptial contract, without accrual.

The couple divorced after the doctor discovered the irregular payments in 2018 and the infidelity, not before Pooran allegedly attempted to extort money from Moodley with threats of circulating salacious information about him.

It has also come to note that his ex wife has since married the security guard but her whereabouts still remain a mystery.
