The struggle that Eskom faces to generate reliable power does not cease. After a unit was lost at Kendal, Medupi and Duvha power stations, they have regretfully decided to implement a short notice stage 2 which will be effective from 14:00 today until Saturday 05:00 (20th November).
Part of the updates which were made available is the fact that a couple of units in Majuba and Kriel were able to return to service after being cut of yesterday. The total amount of power required is 4 100MW. They have continued to emphasize that people should continue using electricity efficiently during this difficult time and have apologized for the inconvenience that this is causing to the people of South Africa

Checking your area schedule
Your municipality and residency has it's own schedule that it makes use of during power cuts. It's important that you refer Eskom's website or download a loadshedding notifier application that will provide you with a real time update on planned maintenances. Remember to switch all of your appliances to prevent surges which might results into damaging your property.
