DURBAN – A 24-year-old customary pioneer was killed at his Nkandla home on Wednesday evening.
Police representative, Colonel Thembeka Mbele said police took care of a homicide grievance at Mpotholo region in Nkandla, where Ibambabukhosi Mzomuhle Zondi, was lethally shot by obscure individuals outside his home.
"He supported gunfire wounds on the head, mid-region and leg. The rationale in the killing is obscure. The Nkandla police are exploring an instance of homicide."
As indicated by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Zondi was an individual from the Zondi Traditional Council.
Cogta MEC Sipho Hlomuka censured the homicide and called for law authorization organizations to investigate every possibility in their quest for the culprits.
"We are heaps of the local area who may have data that could help law authorization organizations to approach so those dependable can confront equity," said Hlomuka.
The MEC sent sympathies to the group of Zondi's family and to the Zondi Traditional Community.
"Senior authorities from the division have been dispatched to offer help to the family during this troublesome period."
