“Stay Safe” - Body of an unknown man found with gunshot wounds to his head

An unidentified man's body was found with gunshot wounds to the head on Thursday morning in a sugar cane farm along the M27 in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

DEAD BODY Found in Inanda Cane Field

Farmworkers found the man's body at around 07:44 a.m., and the private security firm Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) said they made the discovery.

Once the discovery was made, RUSA members were sent to the location, according to spokesperson Prem Balram.

RUSA members were escorted down a dirt path to the body when they arrived. Head wounds were among the victim's injuries.

There were three empty 9mm cartridges and a Hollow Point bullet found near his body. No one knows what prompted the murder.

A member of RUSA hides the body of the man they don't know. Taken from an RUSA image.

An unnamed man's body, which had been bludgeoned and stabbed at least forty times, was recently found by a passerby in Oakford, also in KZN, amid overgrown vegetation on an unpaved road adjacent to a river.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) reports that upon arrival, officers found a blood trail from the dirt road to the body.

The victim apparently had multiple stab wounds to the neck, chest, and back, as well as facial damage from a blunt object.

Sandals were found at the spot where the murder is thought to have happened. The man was afterwards carried into the woods. Along with the blood trail, police found a beer bottle that had been smashed.

Whether or not it was actually used in the murder was unable to be determined right away. There is no evidence to suggest a particular motivation for the murder.

There was a similar event in Inanda, KZN, where the body of an unnamed male was found in a cane field with a gunshot wound to the head.
