There was a drive-by shooting in Montana yesterday. Two people lost their lives and one person was left injured.
The two people who died, a 47 year old woman and a 42 year old man. And a 54 year old woman who was injured were seated in a vehicle in Palloti Road when gunmen opened fire on them. Police have not disclosed a motive behind the attack. No arrests have been made as yet.
Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said: “The injured victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Suspects are unknown and yet to be arrested. Circumstances surrounding this shooting incident are under investigation.”
A witness who cannot be named for safety reasons said: "I was signing in at the security gate then I heard 15 shots, I saw the security of the disabled school in the area,I saw them running to our direction of the gate.
“When I looked at the road, 5m from us, I saw two cars driving off. I saw the community gathering. The red polo (with victims in) had just been standing on the road, one of the doors was open after as they tried to escape and the windows were smashed with bullets.”
