Taxi drivers allegedly rob a man

The Great Dlamini, a who is a distraught Twitter user, has shared a traumatic encounter he experienced at the hands of a group of taxi drivers.

The man announced some exciting news to his followers on the 9th of January 2022. He had decided to join bolt in order to supplement his income, and everyone was ecstatic for him in his new endeavor.

Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived, as he shared some fairly bad news not long after the post on the 29th of January 2022.

He claimed that he was apprehended by a gang of taxi drivers when he was dropping off a client in town, and that these men robbed him of all of his earnings he had made.

Taxi drivers and bolt drivers are well-known for their ongoing feud between them. Bolt drivers are always at risk of being attacked by the taxi business operators in their line of duty, because these taxi drivers do not appreciate having such competition.

He expressed his dissatisfaction by saying "Our government has allowed taxi drivers to become law unto themselves on our streets.

They wield so much power that even city bus contracts must be handled in front of them.

They killed a 21-year-old man who had only been using the app for a week in 2018."

This claim was backed up by a news article he shared from 702 radio station as displayed below.

"In the meantime, with exclusive policies and incentives like this one, our government is also playing a big part in ensuring that Uber and Bolt drivers continue to be marginalized and stigmatized." he said

The convenience of being picked up at a location of your choice and dropped off exactly where you are going is something that most people appreciate from bolt.

The service is not only convenient, but also comfortable, as you will be less likely to contract Covid-19 and will not be crammed in between 10 or more individuals on the commute. It also offers discounts and rewards to those who refer others to use the app.
