The CCPO - Crime control room operator received a call from a resident in Wavecrest Road, stating that she found a suspect in her house, and upon questioning him, he grabbed a set of keys and fled. A description of the suspect was immediately relayed over the CCPO radio network, and members from ET Rapid Response, CCPO, National, and Blue Security responded to search the area.
A suspect fitting the description was found exiting the bush, and was immediately apprehended by one of our ET Rapid Response TRT members, assisted by members from Blue, National and CCPO. The stolen set of keys was also found in his possession. The suspect was handed over to Amanzimtoti SAPS for further processing. The law enforcement officers did a very good job and people were relieved after the apprehension of the suspect. Perpetrators seem to be getting used to terrorizing law abiding citizens and it brings great joy to see law enforcers working hard to stop them.
