An emergency service ambulance was called to the scene after a Taxi Boss got shot by an unknown gunman in Phoenix (KwaZulu-Natal Province), the driver is currently receiving medical treatment at local hospital under a critical condition.
According to the intelligence Bureau South Africa news report, earlier today, Friday, 24 June 2022 at around 20:00 pm a Taxi Boss who was driving his black Mercedes Benz was shot several times by an unknown gunman or gunmen in a drive by shooting, the suspect/s fled the scene in a getaway vehicle.
Witnesses contacted police and an emergency services ambulance for assistance, an ambulance arrived at the scene and the wounded victim who is critical condition was transported to a local hospital where he's currently medical, motive behind the shooting has not yet been established.
The Taxi industry continues to be one of the most violent industry in South Africa, Taxi bosses consistently kill each other over routes.
