There is currently pandemonium in Capetown Following a car accident which claimed the lives of many and injured others. The situation in the area gradually getting out hand as the road had already been cordoned off.
Road users have been warned against disregarding road rules and regulations but some reckless drivers chose to endanger their lives and that of others.
The accident which happened this morning was said to have triggered by a reckless truck driver who was over speeding and suddenly lost control. The vehicle dashed through another truck which hit a small car approaching.
The exact number of injured persons and casualties is yet to be ascertained as at the time of gathering this report but police, road safety officials and traffic officials were seen on the scene of the accident assisting the victims.
The N1 inbound, Plattekloof has been closed and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
This was contained in a statement issued by SA Emergency Report and it reads:
"Crash at the N1 Inbound in Plattekloof, All lanes closed, motorists are advised to Use Alternate Route".
