Criminals are becoming more brazen and no longer hide their paraphernalia far away from the eyes of the community members and even the police. They have been left to cause trouble in the communities for too long.

At least the police in Limpopo are rising up to stop these menacing individuals before they can cause any harm to innocent members of the community. The police are out in full force searching and arresting criminals on the spot.

The police in Mahwelereng, Mokopane outside Polokwane in Limpopo arrested two men aged between 27 and age during a clean up operation in the area.

The police spotted a white Nissan NP300 parked in Mahwelereng hospital view and went to investigate. Upon checking the vehicle they discovered an unlicensed firearm, a knife, explosives and jumping cables.

Two were then arrested on the spot. The vehicle is suspected to be from a high jacking. The two men will appear in court on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and stolen goods.

The Acting provincial police commissioner commanded the officers for their swift action. Members of the community are also encouraged to report any criminal activities, the commissioner said.
