Police in Bergville have secured the successful arrest of a 32 year old man who was allegedly involved in a business robbery that occurred at Bergville CBD which left a store manager shot and injured.
According to the saps news report, it's alleged that a 32-year-old man and an accomplice where involved in a business robbery at Bergville CBD, they removed money from the cash registers and took a cellphone, they also shot and wounded a store manager before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Police spotted the suspects who were allegedly involved in the robbery traveling towards Free State, they saw police and attempted to flee, this lead to a high speed chase, the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, police impounded the vehicle for further investigation.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged for his involvement in the business robbery, he will make appearance at the Bergville Magistrate’s Court on Monday 29 November 2021.
