South Africa is currently awaiting the Johnson&Johnson vaccine and this comes after the gorvenment has decided to follow the recommendations of SAHPRA to lift the suspension of the Johnson&Johnson vaccine.
It is believed that the vaccine will come from the local plant in the Eastern Cape and it is about 1 million dose. The vaccine is expected by Monday next week.
The gorvenment has been highly criticized for the slowness of the roll out. The Johnson&Johnson vaccine is the only vaccine that we had in the country and putting it on hold was a huge concern. This is the number of cases continue to increase with the death rate that is flactuating.
South Africa has to date recorded 1571 348 positive cases with a 1496 756 recoveries which is equivalent to 95% recovery rate. The recorded number of death in the last 24 hour circle is 55 taking the death toll to 53 995.
