An investigation ended in tears for three patrollers after this happened

The Phuthaditjhaba Crime Intelligence Unit collaborated with the Phuthaditjhaba K9 Unit on an intelligence-driven operation that resulted in the successful arrest of a wanted individual tied to the alleged murder of three patrol officers at Bolata Village.

Members of the community provided information with police on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 14:30, resulting in the arrest of the first sought person at Hasethunya Village. On three counts of murder, he is scheduled to appear in Tseki Magistrate's Court on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Anti-Stock Theft Unit patrollers allegedly followed up on information obtained regarding a group of people suspected of stealing animals on Wednesday, 04 May 2022, around 23:30. The investigation led them to a certain house in Bolata Village, where shots were fired upon their arrival, killing two individuals and injuring one. The third victim, Lelohla Jack Leotlela (35) died of his injuries in a local hospital on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
