Approximately 13h20 Today, Our Security Officers at a nearby complex notified our 24 Hour Control Room of a hit and run accident that occurred on Eighth Road, Carlswald, Midrand. An individual that collects recycling was run down by a Black Toyota Fortuner. 

Our Emergency Units responded immediately and the Victim was transported to nearest hospital. The victim complained about back leg, chest pains etc. 

The driver of the said black fortuner without care drove away in high speed, like nothing happened and headed towards Noordwyk.

The Black Toyota Fortuner will be highly visible if spotted because it will be missing a front bumper and side review mirrors. Please if spotted please contact us urgently or the South African Police Service. 

Law enforcement are urging members of the public who might have information about the whereabouts of the suspects to come forward and give that information.

The incident has caused a stir on social media because this looks like it was a very intentional thing that someone did to run over this man.
