Taxi Driver Kills Couple In A Mustang And Did This To Himself After That

On Wednesday, a woman and a man suspected of being her lover were shot dead in Soweto while going in the latter's Ford Mustang. After that, the gunman went home and shot himself.

The woman worked as a police reservist at the Diepkloof police station in Soweto. The owner of the Ford Mustang, her male companion, was considered to be a forex trader, while the gunman was a cab driver who was suspected of being the woman's ex-lover.

A video taken at the site shows a crowd encircling the car, which has two bloodied victims slumped inside.

When the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, a minibus taxi was nearby.

According to a source, the cab driver was furious that the woman had abandoned him and found a new boyfriend.

According to Colonel Athlenda Mathe, a police spokesperson, the couple was shot on Soweto's Baragwanath Road.

She said that when she and a male reservist police officer attached to the Diepkloof Visible Policing Unit were traveling along the road, bullets were fired at them.

The shooter then drove away and later killed himself, according to her."He opened fire on them as they drove into Soweto. [The driver] lost control after being shot at and collided with a minibus taxi. The shooter subsequently committed suicide at his parents' home in Orlando "based on the source
