After a 40-year-old "hot" lady posted her picture on Twitter, ANC stalwart, Derek Hanekom couldn't keep calm. The lady's photo was captioned, "I am 40 years and still hot". Derek Hanekom retweeted the picture and said he is 59 years old and also hot. "It's 31 degrees Celsius in Joburg today," he added.
Twitter quickly went into a frenzy following Derek Hanekom's retweet. Tweeps were too quick to spot that the old man was feeling the "hots" for the lady and he couldn't keep calm. We don't blame Derek Hanekom, the lady is too cute for words. It's funny how Mzansi will always have those explosive shots to fire at any given time. "Uncle, you want to expropriate assets without compensation. Find people your age like Baleka Mbethe or Thoko Didiza," Derek Hanekom was told. Some advised the "oom" to shoot his shots. Lol!
Well, maybe the uncle was just teasing, just like men normally would when they see a hot lady. He's human after all. Derek Hanekom is a married man. Hanekom is married to academic Dr. Patricia (Trish) Hanekom. There is no record of the couple having children but Latestbios if working hard to obtain the information. Trish Hanekom has held part-time public sector positions in areas such as Financial Economics, Strategy development, and implementation. She is an academic who has received honors like the Public Sector Service excellence awards in the period 2004 to 2006, various tourism sector awards for the development of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.
