It has been a difficult month for the family of the deceased Namhla Mthwa who was brutally murdered last month in a hail of bullets when she had came from work. What has even been hurtful is the level of abuse she went through before her painful death, which was exposed in the WhatsApp chats that she had with her boyfriend. No arrest have been made and there has been no progress in the case.
FINALLY, THIS IS THE LATEST REGARDING THE MURDER CASE
After trending in the last days, the Eastern Cape Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant Brigadier Nomthetheleli Lilian Mene made an announcement that should help relight hope in South Africans , loved ones, and friends of the deceased Namhla. This was after she announced that a senior manager had been appointed to oversee the murder case. She said that a Brigadier had been appointed who would ensure that there would be regular engagement between the police and the investigating detectives. The Provincial Police Commissioner pleaded for anyone with information to approach the authorities. She promised that the case was now in capable hands and that a breakthrough would be made. She appreciated the support that was given by the Public and assured that a breakthrough would be made. She called on people with critical information to approach the investigating team to help fast track the investigations.
Nonhlanhla Ncube Ndaba , who is the chairperson of the Parliament's portfolio Committee on women , youth , and persons with disability said that she had noted incriminating messages on social media which could be used by police in the case.
There is hope however that since there have been these appointments, there will be a breakthrough in the case.It is worrying though why they had to wait for South Africans to speak out .May Namhla Mthwa only rest when her killers get arrested .
