Another Femicide in Women's Month

Nosicelo Mtebeni's body was found over a week, with some parts in a suitcase and other parts in a black plastic bag. The student's 25-year old boyfriend was arrested for her murder and was expected to appear in the East London Magistrate's Court, last week Monday. It was alleged that he used a handsaw to dismember her body.

Students and staff from Fort Hare University gathered at the spot where Mtebeni's body parts were discovered and held a silent protest. Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande sent condolences to Mtebeni's family, friends, as well as the management and students of the University of Fort Hare.

Honestly, I find it f*cked that this has become a recurring trend. Are things so bad for twenty-first century youth relationships in this country, that when things don't go on the 50/50 direction, the right course of action is losing all perceptions of reality. I mean like literally, you as a man, boy, girl, women, basically which ever gender you are.

After all, let's face it, just because, it's the male gender that's the majority and guilty party, females as well are just as capable of doing anything a man or boy can do. Everything boils down to the foundation of who you are as a person, everyone’s childhood is mainly the source of their foundation, especially Ubuntu.

In conclusion though, my questions are, is everything you ever wanted in life worth throwing away due to the passionate emotions of love? Is everything you worked hard for in terms of success, worth losing over due to the blind emotions of love that can easily transition into anger and a hate that can make you do the most unthinkable of things, such as killing someone, thus fundamentally ending your own life and dreams in the process?

Is it, was it, ever worth it to love someone to the point that you lost sight of who you are and behaved uncharacteristically in one moment that will or did annihilate your hopes and dreams, along with your life?
