Another Tragedy Hits At Sandton City Mall

Sandton City Mall has verified the terrible death of a lady who is thought to have committed suicide by jumping to her death, dropping many stories to the earth. On Saturday afternoon, November 27, 2021, the event occurred in Sandton, north of Johannesburg.

For the time being, it's unclear if the incident occurred indoors or outdoors at Sandton City Mall. However, the South African Police Service (SAPS) is currently investigating the incident, including deciding whether or not it was a suicide. First responders hurried to the site, but the woman died from her injuries before she could be transferred to the hospital. In light of the occurrence, the mall issued a brief statement offering sorrow to the deceased's loved ones.

"Sandton City certifies that on November 27, 2021, at around 12:04 p.m., a person committed suicide. Despite the fact that emergency personnel arrived quickly, the subject was pronounced deceased. The SAPS is actively investigating the event," the statement read. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time someone has been accused of committing suicide in Sandton City Mall. The latest tragedy occurred barely a month after a 19-year-old matric student committed suicide by plunging to her death from within the mall, in full face of witnesses who were traumatized.

"Sandton City Management extends their heartfelt sympathies to the deceased's family and requests that the dead and their family be respected on social media. Sandton City is open for business as usual" Management of Sandton City Mall. At the time, it was thought that there was footage of a portion of the event, prompting police enforcement to advise individuals in possession of it not to spread it online, out of respect for the victim and owing to the graphic nature of it.
