Terrified man survives after fleeing scene of attack – but the friend he left behind was not so lucky
But then it became clear that they were not going to win the fight and they both had to run for safety. The friend got away, but Livhuwani was not so lucky.
The friend, who is known to Scrolla.Africa, said he doesn’t know why he did not search for his missing friend.
What he didn’t know was that Livhuwani’s family was desperately searching for him.
It was only by chance that Livhuwani’s decomposing body was discovered near the tavern by a passerby on Monday.
This has left the family asking why the friend did not inform them of what happened.
The dead man’s sister, Maria Radzuma said they searched for him but there were no clues as to where he might be.
“After some days we reported him missing, only to find his body two weeks later,” said Maria.
Maria said when they went to the scene they were met by a terrible stench. They managed to identify him with the clothes he was wearing.
“We are trying to understand why the friend ran away but failed to inform us of what happened. We desperately want to know the truth around his death,” she said.
Maria further said at least the discovery is halfway to closure but they will only be happy after the killers are found and tell them why they killed him.
The friend confirmed they were attacked at the pub and he ran away after he was hit with a bottle.
“I ran away after being hit. I tried to call him but his phone has been off ever since,” the friend said.
He could not explain why he did not inform Livhuwani’s family about the incident.
Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed that they are investigating a murder case.
