Dad Allegedly Beats, Kills Newborn Son Because He Was Jealous of the Attention He Received

A Texas father is currently being held by police after it was claimed that he fatally beat and shaken his own newborn baby, who was discovered dead inside a motel in west Houston.

According to Houston police, the suspect, 33-year-old Jamal Edward Robertson, began shaking his 1-month-old son Santana Robertson when the child wouldn't stop sobbing.

On Tuesday afternoon, when police were called to the motel, they discovered a dead baby inside a room. The Texas father was taken into custody by police.

According to ABC13 Houston, authorities were still working on his case on Friday morning, and he might have a court date on Monday.

When the police were called to the motel at around 3:30 p.m., they discovered the infant to be already be unresponsive. The newborn son of a Texas father was taken to a hospital but was later declared dead.

The police brought the infant right away to Texas Children's Hospital West Campus, but according to ABC13, the physicians declared the youngster dead when they arrived.

Officers brought one guy into custody that day, who later identified himself as Jamal Edward Robertson. After a preliminary inquiry into the injuries discovered on his baby child, the Texas father was taken into custody.
