The Ziwani family is in tears following the tragic murder of 24-year-old Msimelelo Ziwani. Family member Vuyolwethu Ngqeleni (29) said Msimelelo was last seen on Friday 24 September. "He said he did not come back and we were worried. We asked his friends but we did not find anything but the chase by the Avanza in Mariaka," said Ngqeleni.
He said that after they chased him, friends reported that Msimelelo had fallen and the Avanza people took her away. "There was nowhere we could look for him from the hospital and mortuary but we could not find him," said Ngqeleni. He said that on Tuesday they received a call informing them that the body had been found buried not far from the Mandalay railway station. "We have been told that he had six stab wounds and that he was buried. We do not know what he has done to cause such a horrible death," said Ngqeleni.
He said Msimelelo was looking for a job as she was completing her Public Management studies at Northlink College. "We are very sad and we will remember him for being a loving person and always smiling," said Ngqeleni. He also said that their wish was to find the perpetrators, although that would not bring Msimelelo back.
Cape Town police spokesman Joseph Swartbooi said police were investigating a murder case following the discovery of a body buried with stab wounds.
