Murder/Suicide: Mawothi - KZN
Police found two bodies of a 26 year-old male and his 29 year-old ex-girlfriend in their wood and iron home in Ezimangweni, Mawothi - KZN yesterday afternoon. The recreation unit South Africa members were contacted by the community members around 6 p.m. after the discovery was made. Both the Recreation unit officers and paramedics immediately rushed to the scene and when they arrived at the scene they saw a large crowd gathered outside the house.
The paramedics then entered the house in order to establish what was really happening and when they got inside they found a body of a male hanging biorob while the woman was seen on the floor. Upon further inspections it was discovered that the woman had sustained multiple stab wounds to her chest and neck. The paramedics tried to revive the couple but unfortunately none of them showed any signs of life and they were pronounced dead on the scene.
The paramedics and officers also located a letter which was written in Zulu and it hurt the reason for the murder or suicide, the letter was allegedly left behind by the man who killed his ex-girlfriend and took his own life. It reads as follows, the woman was his ex girlfriend and the mother of his child and she had decided to end their relationship however he did not take that lightly as he was not even able to move on therefore he asked them to meet at his home yesterday afternoon where he murdered her before taking his own life. Fortunately the child was not at that place when the incident occurred which is more of a possibility why the child is still alive because nowadays people choose to even murder innocent children when they are killing their partners and themselves.
