The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department officers have secured the arrest of two suspects after a replica firearm and shoes were found in their possession.
According to the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department News report, yesterday 17 January 2022 the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department undercover officers who were on patrol, at Lillian Ngoyi street in the Johannesburg CBD received a complaint about a robbery that occurred at End and Rockey street.
The JMPD undercover officers responded to the information and went to the area where the robbery occurred, while driving along Lillian Ngoyi street they spotted two men who matched the description of the suspects who robbed the victim, the men were stopped and the bag they were holding was searched.
Police found a replica firearm and a pair of sneakers that were robbed from the victim, the suspects were immediately arrested and charged for robbery, they will soon make an appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court to face the charge.
