"POTHOLES To Blame For HIGHJACKINGS" Mzansi Can't Deal Just Look At The Comments

South Africa, Cape Town - You can tell the elections are coming when potholes are blamed for crime. This comes as the minister of the South African Police Service Bheki Cele has become a laughing stock, on social media after, accusing potholes in Western Cape, of causing crimes such as highjackings. In a viral video Cele said that the reason highjackings are taking place is because of potholes in the Western Cape, however the whole country is full of potholes not just the Western Cape. "One of the crimes that have gone up in the Western Cape province is hijacking which is caused by the potholes in this province," an emotionally charged Cele said at a press conference. The problem with this statement is simple. How can hijackings be caused by potholes? There are stop signs and robots aswel that stop cars? Potholes are dangerous yes but they will not cause people to start highjacking each other? It's not like someone wakes up and decides to highjack people because of potholes since it makes people drive slower, because what about robots and stop signs that bring vehicles to a complete stop? Should we get rid of them because "highjackings?" Are highjackings not caused by the hijackers themselves? A criminal is a criminal I doubt any criminal cares about a pothole if they want to do crime, im sure they will find a way to highjack you no matter if there are potholes or not? Welcome to South Africa where the jokes write themselves.
