The Gauteng Highway Patrol have secured the successful arrest of four suspects after they caught them red-handed pouring diesel into different containers at a property in Mapleton, Dawnpark.
According to the saps news report, on Friday 21 January 2022 the Gauteng Highway Patrol received intelligence information from an anonymous source about diesel being stored and sold illegally at a property in Mapleton, Dawnpark, police followed up on the information and went to conduct a raid at the suspected property.
Upon arrival at the property, they found four men filling different containers with diesel, the men could not provide police with proof of purchase and they were immediately arrested for possession of suspected stolen diesel, police also confiscated 10 000 litres of diesel at the property.
The suspects will soon make an appearance in court to face the said charges, further investigation on the situation is still ongoing, more arrests will possibly be made.
