Another fire breaks out at Charlotte Maxeke academic hospital

Last year the hospital had been forced to shut down due to fire and after shutting down for almost a year there seems to be no end in sight to fires at Charlotte Maxeke academic hospital as it has been reported to have caught fire again.
The health department head of communication said," the department of health confirmed that the smouldering firing that was detected at the hospital unused P2 parking bay has been brought under control."
Security personnel had reported smoke coming from one of the structures and the firefighters immediately responded to the situation and managed to contain the fire which was confined to a small section of the level two parking.
After assessing the situation it was confirmed that patients did not need to be moved as the smoke from the fire was not too thick or risk of inhalation. Service at the facility continued as normal.
