THREE people were killed in two shooting incidents that took place several hours apart in Elsies River.
In the most recent shooting, which took place on the corner of 28th Avenue and Halt Road around 12:30 on Saturday, two people were killed.
Sers. Noloyiso Rwexana, a police spokesperson, says the police were busy at the scene where two men in their 30s were fatally wounded. "A woman who was injured in the incident was taken to a nearby hospital."
According to Rwexana, the men and the woman were sitting in a white VW Golf when unknown persons rushed at them and shot at them. "The motive for the shooting is still unknown."
A double murder and a case of attempted murder are being investigated.
In the other incident, a 23-year-old man was shot dead.
The incident took place on Friday night around 18:35 in 35th Street in Clarkes Estate, Rwexana said. "The police found a man's body when they arrived on the scene. He had multiple gunshot wounds. "
Rwexana says the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated. No one has yet been arrested for the killings.
