On the occasion of the media conference on the adjudication of the bids that took place today, May 23 at 10:00am, the official statement was released by Me Fikile Mbalula, who is the Minister of Transport in South Africa.
The South African Ministry of Transport has reportedly taken notice of the claims that relate to the cancellation of five bids with a total value of R17.4 billion, as stated in the official statement. They have emphasized that the most important aspect of the services provided by the Ministry of Transportation is excellent governance, and they have said that they would not compromise the core ideals of the Ministry for the sake of convenience.
