RIP: Today We Remember Man Who Saved 13 People And Drowned Trying To Save The 14th In a Boat Crash

It's the one-year anniversary of one of Rivers State's worst periods. A boat accident occurred in Rivers State, Nigeria, in 2018, involving a group of 25 individuals.

The passengers who were unable to swim were stuck in the sea when the boat sank. Joe Blankson, a God-sent hero, spotted the folks in danger and went in to help them.

Joe swam 13 times successfully, saving one passenger at a time and returning them to land. Out of the 25 passengers, he was able to save 13 of them.

Unfortunately, the stress of swimming had taken its toll on him on his 14th attempt, and he perished while attempting to save the 14th passenger.

This is a brave hero; it is uncommon to come across people who are prepared to put their lives on the line and lose everything in order to save someone else.

We fervently pray that God accepts his soul and grants him eternal life.

Hero, take care of yourself.
