World's tallest woman

She used to be the tallest teenager of Turkey, now Rumeysa Gelgi is all grown up. Guinness World records has certified the 24 year old as the tallest woman in the world, measuring her at over 7 feet tall.

Her enormous height is caused by Weaver syndrome, a rare condition that causes rapid growth and usually occurs before birth. The disease can cause other ailments but Gelgi has used her platform as a record holder in the past as an opportunity to educate people.

"I am very happy that I can bring awareness especially for Weaver syndrome and also for Scoliosis, which are the two diseases that I was born with".

Gelgi relies on a wheelchair to walk around although she can walk short distances while using a walker. She hopes her achievements will encourage people to embrace their differences which she says can bring unexpected success.
