A 21-year-old Kenyatta University medical student died in a controversial situation in the Qwetu Hotel in Ruaraka, Nairobi.
She was identified as Neema Githae and reportedly entered the hotel on Monday and locked herself in the room, but her body was found in the room three days later.
The managers of the dormitory had to use their master key to enter the room with the electronically controlled door, only to find her body on the floor.
However, her mother said that some things did not increase because she was called at 4 pm and her body was received in the morgue at 7 am.
Neema’s family claimed that Neema Githae was allegedly murdered in the dormitory and the body was hurriedly transferred to the city morgue to cover up the crime. The investigation is still ongoing at the Pangani Police Station.
