Dangerous thug finally arrested after gunning down residents

Gone are the days when one would think that it is easy to get away with murder in South Africa. Law enforcement agents now seem to be making inroads in the fight against crime as with each passing day, solutions are being found.

One dangerous killer in the country was finally taken down. He is viewed as unfit to dwell in communities were law abiding and peace loving citizens live.

According to Arrive Alive, a 36 year old suspect named Zenzele Mzila made an appearance on the 6th of October 2021 at the Mtubatuba Magistrate’s Court. He was facing charges which include being in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition as well as attempted murder. The jury decided to remand him in police custody until the 12th of October 2021 as investigations are being intensified and there is a high possibility of further charges being placed on him.

His arrest emanates from an incident in which he had launched an attack on one citizen on the 5th of October 2021. A call was made to the police by a concerned member of the public of the suspect who was fleeing in a vehicle that had been involved in a terrifying shooting incident.

A 27 year old male victim had been shot multiple times in the attack which happened at Ebunganeni area in Mbazwana. The victim was lucky to be alive as the suspects really intended to skin him alive.

At approximately 19:50, members from the Hlugluwe police acted on the information and began pursuing after the vehicle which was travelling at extremely high speeds. The vehicle was being followed all the way from the R22 Road in Hluhluwe and the officers managed to intercept it at a turn off to Landini.

Upon intercepting the vehicle, the officers pounced on the suspect and began searching his vehicle. Positive results were obtained from the search as they found two rounds of ammunition and a pistol. Immediately, the suspect was placed under arrest and the members went on to impound the vehicle which was being used by the suspect as it will be used for further investigations. The firearm was taken for ballistic testing. More skeletons might pop from the closet as the suspect was labelled as an extremely violent criminal who could possibly be behind a number of shooting and murder cases.

Criminals like him make the country be viewed as a hotspot for crime and authorities should take decisive action to bring such thugs to book.
