IOL has reported that the life of a nurse at Zithulele Hospital in the Eastern Cape was ended abruptly on Saturday morning when he was stabbed to death. He was seemingly, although it may or may not have been known to him, in a love triangle and was allegedly butchered by his girlfriend's second boyfriend. The event took place on Saturday morning when the girlfriend was with the 34 year old nurse in his room.
At the sound of an uproarious charge, a room mate that shared quarters with the nurse testifies that he came out of his door to examine what's going on. He was allegedly greeted by a fuming man who came in search for her girlfriend and upon discovering her, all hell broke loose. The intense battle resulted in the nurse being fatally stabbed.
He experienced excessive bleeding and when hospital security were called in by the room mate, they rushed him to the emergency unit, but later he was pronounced dead. It was reported that the culprit was arrested on the spot.
This has sent shock waves through the health department and Eastern Cape Health MEC Nomakhosazana Meth has expressed her condolences to the family of the deceased.
Hospital security services can expect to come under fire as it is still in question how an armed man was able to enter the premises.
What do you think about this?
Do you think the security could've prevented this?
Is it possible that someone tipped the second boyfriend and he was prompted to catch them in the act?
Was killing the nurse really the answer or do you think he could've handled it differently?
Those close to the girlfriend are perhaps the only ones that will ever know what drove her to cheating.
May his soul RIP.
