There is a lot of crime in South Africa and everyday, many people find themselves swindled out of there hard earned money by thief's and scammers. This can be frustrating and lead you to take drastic action, Here's what a group of South Africans did to an alleged scammer and how other South Africans reacted.
The Video :
In a video recently posted to social media, which you can watch by clicking on the link below, we see South Africans take revenge on a alleged criminal.
The video is labeled with the caption "Scammer found lurking" and shows a group of men carry another man and put him in the boot of a car. They close the boot on him as a host of people watch.
The video never tells us what type of scam the man pulled, who was scammed or what was taken from the victims. Regardless of this, when most people left there comments on the video they were supportive. Here's what some of them said, or click the link to watch the video.
As we can see, many people liked watching this happen, there is a reason why.
The reality of the situation :
It's sad, but in South Africa criminals take advantage of whomever they can. This is why South Africans are praising the actions of the people in the videos. However while it may make people happy, it doesn't mean it's right.
The law is there for a reason and people are innocent until proven guilty, this is because when citizens try to make there own justice, there is a chance innocent people can get hurt. So personally I don't agree with what these men did. Regardless of that, because of the situation of crime in South Africa, I can't blame them. However if this type of actions continue and more people take revenge, than criminals are in trouble.
