Misinformation spreads quickly on social media as majority of the people believe what they read before researching about what really happened. That's the case with what is happening in Johannesburg CDB. The on going narrative is that the Somalian nationals residing in Johannesburg are responsible for setting alight the taxi's this morning. This is due to what happened in Gqeberha where Somalians burnt 12 taxi's.
The truth on what really happened in Johannesburg is that it's a fight among the taxi association amongst themselves. Possibly for routes. What happened in Gqeberha was good because the taxi association with all their drivers think that they own the country. Many innocent people die due to these taxi wars however some South Africans will turn a blind eye to this.
We have to ask ourselves why are taxi driver's not afraid of black people but are afraid of other races. In Phoenix they never did anything, and now in Gqeberha they also did nothing. But had it been black people who committed these actions, they would pounce on them.
