Cross border criminal activities is problematic in South Africa but it seem like it is spiraling to our neighboring Botswana. It is not the first time we hear that South Africans were involved in criminal activities in Botswana. Few months ago some South Africans were among 11 people who were killed in Botswana cash and transit robbery
3 South Africans & 2 Botswana nationals have been arrested by Botswana Police Services after a foiled cash-in-transit heist in Gaborone Botswana. The suspects are accused of using a getaway car suspected to have been stolen. AK-47 rifles & electronic communication jammer siezed
The police said upon the arrest : Guns used in the robbery are suspected to be some of the 14 rifles and four pistols stolen from a police station. The police said some of those arrested have cases pending against them, or are being investigated.
Though it might be Zimbabweans with South Africans IDs, anything is possible
