Bullying brother kills Rudzani for his R350 grant

Even though he was nine years older than his brother, Rudzani Ramudzuli was scared of his younger brother, because he was mercilessly tormented by him.

Rudzani, 39, was so scared of his little brother, who stole from him for years, that he wished his sibling would die and his misery would end.

But that was not to be. This sordid family drama ended on Wednesday, in the most brutal way, when Rudzani was allegedly killed by his younger brother for his R350 Sassa grant.

Rudzani’s other brother, David Goba, said the sad incident happened after Rudzani

got his unemployment grant at Mukula Thembaluvhilo, outside Thohoyandou.

“Our brother, who has been bullying Rudzani for years, wanted to take all his money and he refused.

“That is where the fight broke out and the younger brother picked an iron piece and repeatedly hit him with it,” David said.

The badly injured Rudzani was taken to the local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

“How does anyone do this to their blood brother?

“He must rot in jail. We hope the justice system will do the right thing and not give him bail until his case is finalised.”

Before his death Rudzani had confided in family members that he was also sexually molested by the younger brother.

“Rudzani was a quiet and very humble man, who would not fight back even though he was 9 years older than our brother who killed him,” David said.

He added that the bullying brother also assaulted their mother. She later died of poor health as a result of the assault.

Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed that a 29-year-old man was arrested and will appear in court facing a charge of murder.

What are your thoughts abouts such heart breaking incidents, as residente what actions can you take?

This type of behavior is among our society in the Morden generation and it's escalating each day. Under influence of drugs and alcohol people do bad things which they regret tomorrow.
