Caroline Wanjiku Maina 38, was kidnapped and tortured to death. 

Before she was kidnapped Caroline went to the bank and withdrew a large some of money and went to her meeting to meet up with a potential business partner.  

But then a week went by and no one had heard anything from Caroline and a search was put into place, and that placed 2 suspects as the last people to have been seen with her. 

After further investigation the body of Caroline Maina was found dumped at Paranai in Kajiado and taken to Kadiajo Mortuary. With her eyes gouged out, injuries on her wrist proving that she was tortured to death. 

Her car was found abandoned in Kawangware, after a search was put in place to find her. Four suspects were arrested: Edwin Otieno Odiwuor, Samwel Okoth Adinda, Stevenson Oduor Ouma and Mercy Gitiri Mongo.

It is reported that Caroline had contacted a friend to tell her about the meeting she was heading to, over a Stima Sacco Shares deal hence the need to withdraw the large sum of money. 

“A pair of handcuffs used to restrain the deceased, her company stamp stolen from her car and a surgical face mask believed to have been worn by her were recovered,” said the DCI.

With further investigations ongoing, the four suspects are pending arraignment for murder.
