In South Africa, students commonly wear bright orange overalls to school. If someone is seen wearing them, it's likely that they fled from jail.
So went the story at Kariega, where an inmate made an unsuccessful break for freedom.
An escaped convict in orange overalls was caught at a taxi stand after making what can only be characterized as a stupid attempt at freedom.
Shared online videos show the man being taken to the Kariega taxi stand by a correctional services officer.
This incident caused a massive uproar on social media. The incident rapidly became a trending topic when numerous individuals remarked on it.
The footage shows the man being restrained by a correctional service officer by the collar of his orange jumpsuit as bystanders make fun of his sluggish escape attempt.
It is unclear how he attempted to flee or what charges he faces.
