Updates on Tembisa woman who gave birth to 10 children
The nationwide search and confirmation of a South Africa woman Gosiame Thamara Sithole (37) who gave birth to a world record with 10 kids has now been completed as Mayor of Ekhuruleni, Mwandile Masina confirmed that his office has made contact with the family.
Masina also confirmed that all the ten babies are doing well.
“We’ve found the family and we are informed babies are well. Will share the information with National Government, I know we were a joke yesterday when government was genuinely looking for family. Some of our local comrades have been assisting this family. So we are good OK,” Masina said in a social media post Wednesday morning.
“Of course, our joy had to be interrupted. Now we must go to bed, questioning whether we’re buying nappies or not. I’m all for the #NationalBabyShower. It’s a beautiful gesture. We need more moments like this Yellow heart #Love&Light,” tweeted Cathy Mohlahlana.
Meanwhile, hashtag #NationalBabyShower is trending on twitter as many kind hearted South Africans are making plans to make donations of gifts and cash to help the new babies and their parents. There is even a suggestion of opening of gofundme account to raise funds for them.
Gosiame Thamara Sithole delivered seven (7) boys and three (3) girls on Monday 6th breaking a Guinness World Record formally held by Malian Halima Cissé who gave birth to nine children in Morocco last month. Gosiame now has 12 children having already gave birth a twins six years ago.
