The R22 Million Flag Is A Slap In The Face To South Africans

Along with Mbalula, Nathi Mthethwa is one of the ineffective ministers. It will never make sense to me to spend 22 million Rands to build a flag that is visible both day and night in a developing country that is sinking economically.

Furthermore, he claims that the flag is for educational purposes. What educational value does a 22 million rand flag provide? There is no amount of logic that can justify spending 22 million South African Rands on a bad flag.

"The massive nature of the flag is bringing in the steel industry," is a ridiculous statement considering he's only talking about a 100-metre pole. A caring government will not squander 22 million dollars on a flag. The funds will be used to construct bridges so that our children are protected when it rains. It will construct houses and schools so that our children will be unable to learn outside or under trees.

The 22 Million flag is a slap in the face to South Africans. We're in financial trouble, and all they can think about is spending money on pointless flags. Nathi Mthethwa and the government face 22 million challenges, but poverty, inequality, and unemployment are not among them.

What does this 22 Million flag represent? Is there peace? Unity? regaining possession of the land? Poverty Overcome? triumph over unemployment? or is it just a lovely flag?

"It's visible during the day, it lights up at night, and it's always educational." Poverty ? Unemployment? Education? ESKOM ?? No no you decide to spend 22 million on a flag?
