#CleaningCampaign | LEBOWAKGOMO CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT (CBD) COMMUNITY-BASED CLEANING CAMPAIGN
Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality leads the practice of environmental friendliness. The municipality has initiated a waste management programme to provoke cleanliness.
The Mayor Cllr. Meriam Molala together with councillors and municipal employees led the three days initiative and took to the streets of Lebowakgomo, Central Business District (CBD) to pick up waste together with the residents and various stakeholders. National Department of forestry, fisheries and the environment, Good Green Deeds beneficiaries, EPWP Beneficiaries, Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, and Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa were amongst the stakeholders who graced the campaign.
Mayor Molala encouraged everyone who showed up at the campaign to continue with this fruitful activity and outlined the benefits of the initiative as the center with the potential to eradicate poverty and most importantly, to create awareness against littering.
