The police in the middleburg were conducting their work in mhluzi. The police were following up on information of the suspects which were connected to the robbery of a business which was on the 2nd in middleburg. The information led them to the arrest of two suspects and confiscation of two vehicles
The police information also resulted in visiting to a house in mhluzi in arriving at the place they opened the door from which shots were fired at them directly, one of the member of the police was shot and injured the police responded to the shots by firing back at the suspects one of the suspect was shot and killed.
The police officer who was injured was transported to the hospital for treatment, the independent Police investigative directorate visited the area for their investigation to investigate the conduct of the police. However the police arrested two suspects aged 35 and 38 which are expected to appear in the middleburg magistrate court.
