In a proclamation on Sunday, Reaction Unit SA (Rusa) representative, Prem Balram, said the remaining parts of a man, 38, was found after a few homes were destroyed by a fire on Ithemba Lama Africa Road soon after 1am.
Balram said Rusa had gotten numerous calls mentioning help.
He said upon appearance Rusa officials observed that few homes on one property were overwhelmed on fire.
"Inhabitants were endeavoring to stifle the fire with cans of water," said Balram.
"The scorched remaining parts of a man were found among the flotsam and jetsam," said Balram.
Balram said Rusa officials addressed the sibling of the departed man.
"As per the sibling of the departed, he was sleeping in the fundamental structure when his significant other made him aware of the fire. As he left the principal building he found his occupants rescuing resources from a few single room stopgap homes arranged in the property.
"The fire spread quickly through the other structures while the casualty was still inside one of the wood and iron homes. The primary structure was likewise widely harmed in the fire," he said.
Balram added that the conditions encompassing the reason for the fire were not promptly settled.
